The Christmas Gift Guide Tag

I was tagged by my lovely friend Blessie over at Mischievous Reads. Thank you!
This tag was created by Crazy For YA so here are a few tips on how to make your version of the tag easier:
1) Pick at least one book/series for each category
2) Spread some holiday cheer by tagging at least 3 bloggers
3) Add your link to the original post

So, with that out the way, let's get on with the tag!

FOR THE YA CONTEMPORARY LOVER

FOR THE FANTASY LOVER

FOR THE ROMANCE LOVER

FOR THE MUSIC LOVER

FOR THE SCI-FI LOVER

FOR THE MYSTERY THRILLER LOVER

FOR THE CHRISTMAS LOVER

  1. Thanks much for the tag! I have only read two of the books mentioned - The Host and The Book Thief, for both of which I can safely say I agree with your choices! I can't wait to do this myself :D

    1. You're welcome! I loved both of those books and thought they were perfect choices for the categories above. If you do read any, let me know what you think of them! I love hearing other people's opinions on books :)

  2. These are really great recommendations! I've read a lot of them and agree :) I didn't enjoy If I Stay as much as I was expecting to, but I'm not exactly a contemporary YA lover haha.
I should have my post up in the next few days - thanks for tagging me!

    1. Thanks! Hahaa Perks has such a good soundtrack as a movie and in the book there's the scene where they exchange the mixtape and it actually has some great songs on it like Asleep by The Smiths :)

    2. I love the book! It's one of my favorites. I think I have all of the songs that are in the book on my computer. I wish they would have used "Landslide" for the Fort Pitt Tunnel scene, but I do like the song they used.

    3. Same! Ooh I didn't think of that but now that you mention it that song would have been perfect :O

    1. What did you think of the movie? I really enjoyed it and definitely advise you to read the book; it's so much better haha :) I haven't read the entire series (only Throne of Glass) but they're on my TBR list! I read Let it snow recently because I wanted to get into the christmas spirit and it was so good!

  7. Hey Jennie! Thank you for the nomination, this seems like a great tag! I love how The Great Gatsby is recommended for everyone haha - it's literally one of my favourite books, so brilliant choice! I really need to read the If I Stay series! I saw the movie and I didn't really understand the point of Mia's journey, so I promised myself that I would read it to try and find out! What are the rest of the books in the series like?

    1. You're welcome! I read the Great Gatsby in school for English and fell in love with it straight away! And when the film came out it was perfect gah I love it so much :) I had been wanting to read If I Stay for ages because I refused to watch the film first but now I can watch the film since I've read the book :D I really liked it and will be picking up the second book soon!

    2. Haha same here! Gatsby is ❤❤, but I actually didn't think that the film did it justice! I'm definitely going to read If I Stay, but let me know what you think of the film when you watch it! I'm always quite critical of book to film adaptations, but it would be interesting to see what you think :)

    3. Aww I really enjoyed the film version... Maybe it's because it's by the same director of the Moulin Rouge which I love!<3 I'm going to watch it this week at some point so I'll let you know :)
