I went to visit the Hemingway house in Key West (where he lived and worked) which definitely got me interested in him as a person. I suppose the natural next step is to read something of his. I'm sorry you didn't like this all that much :( I'm really glad you enjoyed the ending though - that's one of the best parts of a book in my opinion!
